Where are you located? Where should I park?

Spirit Bike Milwaukee is located at 531 S. Water Street.  You will see a sign on the sidewalk indicating you found us!  There is ample amount of free street parking with no hourly restrictions.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the tour start time in order to be fitted for your bike. We will begin promptly at the scheduled time to go over general safety and start the tour.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. As we say in Milwaukee “it’s cooler by the lake”, so make sure to wear appropriate clothing.  We recommend you bring layers.  Our bicycles come with a rear rack for you to keep your layers.

What is your Rain Policy?

Spirit Bike Milwaukee tours go out in the rain unless it’s so stormy that it will hinder your ability to have SO MUCH FUN seeing the Cream City. We provide our guests with ponchos and our bikes come with fenders. Our tours also make frequent stops along the way so we’ll have opportunities to get off the bikes and dry off. Please show up on time and ready to ride! If we decide to cancel, we’ll give you the option to re-schedule or issue a full refund.

What is your Cancellation / Refund Policy?

Your payment is fully refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. CONTACT US with any questions or concerns.

Do I have to be an experienced rider?

Ideally you should be comfortable riding a bike; this is a bike tour after all.  Routes have been determined with the rider’s safety in mind.  However, you are the best person to gauge how comfortable you are.  Bike lanes and cycling infrastructure in Milwaukee has come a long way but there’s still work to do. Our guides will provide commentary and direction throughout the ride to ensure safety. Still not sure? Contact us and we’ll happily answer any additional questions!

How far will I ride?

The Cream City Classic is set at a relaxed pace covering 8-10 miles in 3 hours, including 2 breaks to allow for refreshments and restrooms.  Likewise, the Valley Vibe Ride is also set at a relaxed pace covering 6-8 miles in 2 hours, including 1 break to allow for refreshments and restrooms. (please note food/drink is not included in the price of the tours)

Do I have to wear a helmet?

The State of Wisconsin does not require the use of a helmet; however, Spirit Bike Milwaukee STRONGLY suggests the use of one.  Our top priority is ensuring your safety while having a good time along the way.

What should I bring with me?

Bring comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, (remember: “It’s cooler by the lake”), a bottle of water, and some extra cash for impulsive purchases and to tip your guide!

Can I leave things at the location while on the tour?

All of our bikes have a rear rack which can hold sweaters, purses, phones, etc.  If you have larger items, we can store them at the location while you’re out on your tour.

Can I bring kids on the tour?

Kids should be comfortable riding a bicycle, and must be at least 5 feet tall.  We do not have children’s bicycles, but we do have bicycles that accommodate riders down to 5 feet tall.

Do you have equipment or trailers to carry infants or small children?

Unfortunately, we do not have equipment for infants and small children.
